The Monthly One-Day Child Meditation Camp is organized by the Ehipassiko Buddhist Foundation (EBF) every month for its novices with coordination from the Vipassana Centre. This regular program is designed to introduce young novices to the foundations of mindfulness and meditation practice in a simple and practical way.
During the camp, participants engage in sitting meditation, walking meditation, chanting, Dhamma talks, and mindful activities. The sessions are guided by experienced meditation teachers, helping the novices to develop mental focus, discipline, and inner peace.
The main objective of this program is to nurture spiritual growth from an early age, strengthen their understanding of the Buddha’s teachings, and build a strong foundation for future monastic training. Through consistent monthly practice, the young novices learn to integrate mindfulness and compassion into their daily lives, benefiting themselves and the wider community.
