This team works closely with monastic members, teachers, and supporters to ensure smooth functioning and the fulfillment of the Parivena’s objectives.
The EBPET plays a vital role in nurturing future Buddhist leaders while fostering a harmonious and mindful environment for learning and spiritual growth.
Ehipassiko Buddhist Parivena is a small but dedicated Buddhist Educational Institution founded in 2022 A.D., situated in the serene surroundings of Kipulcha, the beautiful hilly area of Chandragiri ward-05 situated at Kathmandu. The Parivena was established by a group of Buddhist monks and educators who envisioned creating a learning environment that integrates both academic excellence and moral/spiritual development grounded in Buddhist teachings. The name “Ehipassiko” is derived from the Pali language, meaning “Come and see,” which invites students to explore knowledge and wisdom in both academic and spiritual realms.
Ehipassiko Buddhist Parivena is not merely a modern educational institution-it is the realization of a long-cherished dream that began many years ago, nurtured quietly in the hearts of a group of dedicated Nepalese Buddhist friends while studying Buddhism in Sri Lanka. While the parivena’s doors officially opened in 2022 A.D., its roots stretch back to a time when a shared vision of education, compassion, and spiritual growth began to take shape.
The institute began with a modest enrollment of just a few students, and over the years, it has gradually expanded to cater to a current total of 28 students across Grades 6 to 10. Despite its small size, the founding vision was not only to offer an academic curriculum but also to provide a holistic education that fosters compassion, mindfulness, and ethical conduct principles central to Buddhism.
The parivena employs a curriculum that integrates both secular subjects such as Buddhsim, Pali, mathematics, science, language, computer, social studies with teachings rooted in Buddhist philosophy, meditation, and ethics. Teachers at the parivena are committed not only to academic achievement but also to guiding students in developing mindfulness, respect, and compassion-values that extend beyond the classroom , who sought to create an environment where students could develop academically, socially, and spiritually. The leadership and teaching staff comprise a blend of experienced educators, local professionals, and spiritual guides who adhere to the teachings of Buddhism while ensuring that students receive a balanced education.
