The Ten-Day Meditation Camp is a special training program organized by the Ehipassiko Buddhist Foundation (EBF) for its novices, held twice every year. The camp takes place in different meditation centers, providing a peaceful and focused environment for deep practice.
During the Ten days, novices receive guidance from experienced meditation teachers on mindfulness (Vipassana), concentration practices (Samatha), and Dhamma teachings. The schedule includes periods of sitting meditation, walking meditation, chanting, Dhamma talks, and group discussions, helping participants to cultivate discipline, mental clarity, and spiritual growth.
This program plays an important role in strengthening the novices’ monastic training, deepening their understanding of the Buddha’s teachings, and preparing them to live mindfully and compassionately while serving the community. It also encourages them to integrate meditation practice into their daily lives for long-term spiritual development.
